Habinshuti Fidèle Appointed to Rwanda U-17 Women’s National Team Ahead of Zambia Clash.
As Rwanda intensifies preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers set to take place in Morocco in 2026, the Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has appointed Habinshuti Fidèle to the technical team of the national U-17 women’s side.
Habinshuti, who currently serves as the goalkeepers’ coach for Rayon Sports Women Football Club, has been entrusted with the responsibility of training and improving the performance of the national team’s goalkeepers ahead of their crucial qualifier against Zambia.
He brings valuable experience in goalkeeper coaching, having demonstrated strong results during his time with Rayon Sports WFC.
His appointment is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the team’s technical bench.
The Rwanda U-17 women’s national team is currently in intensive training as they prepare to face Zambia in the qualification rounds for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted in Morocco.
Football analysts believe that the addition of Habinshuti Fidèle could significantly boost the team’s performance, particularly in the goalkeeping department, increasing their chances of success in the qualifiers.
Rwanda is aiming to qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup for the first time in its history, making these preparations crucial to achieving that goal.
