Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, met members of the Rwandan community living in the Republic of Korea on the sidelines of the 2026 Korea–Africa Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in Seoul.


The engagement, hosted at the Embassy of Rwanda in South Korea, brought together members of the diaspora for discussions focused on Rwanda’s development journey, national priorities, and the role of Rwandans abroad in promoting the country internationally.

During the meeting, Minister Nduhungirehe shared updates on Rwanda’s foreign policy priorities and ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships that contribute to the country’s economic growth and development agenda.

The discussions also provided an opportunity for an open exchange on how the diaspora can continue supporting Rwanda through investment, innovation, cultural promotion, and international outreach.

Members of the Rwandan community welcomed the engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to contributing to Rwanda’s progress and strengthening ties between Rwanda and the Republic of Korea.

The meeting reflected the Embassy’s continued commitment to maintaining close relations with the Rwandan diaspora and supporting their involvement in national development initiatives abroad.
