As areas of Los Angeles are placed under curfew, US cities prepare for further protests
LOS ANGELES, June 11 (Reuters)—As portions of the nation's second-largest city, Los Angeles, were placed under curfew for the night in an attempt to put an end to five days of upheaval, several American towns prepared for protests against President Donald Trump's extensive immigration raids on Wednesday.
The Governor of Texas, Republican Greg Abbott, said he will deploy the National Guard this week, ahead of planned protests. Protesters and police in Austin clashed on Monday.
