The Minister of National Unity and Civic Duties, Dr. Jean Damascène Bizimana, emphasized the importance of graduates applying what they have learned to contribute to the country’s development and strengthen national unity.

Minister Dr. Bizimana urged graduates of the Itorero Indangamirwa program to put into practice the knowledge and values they gained, contributing actively to building Rwanda and working together with others to promote national unity.

He noted that graduates proposed that every Rwandan child should receive civic education through the Indangamirwa program and highlighted plans to expand the program’s capacity to provinces and districts to ensure more youth benefit from this training.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Minister Dr. Bizimana said: “Meet the other graduates who were trained before you and work together to build Rwanda.” He highlighted that the Itorero Indangamirwa program has now become a flagship initiative in Rwanda, having trained 5,561 young men and women, playing a key role in promoting national unity and instilling civic responsibility among the youth.

He further added that plans to increase the institution’s capacity and train more youth will be implemented, explaining, “This will be possible as training structures are established in provinces and districts to nurture our young leaders.”

Minister Bizamana emphasized that promoting unity and preparing youth for leadership are central objectives of the Itorero Indangamirwa program.

The Itorero Indangamirwa program will continue to prepare young Rwandans with the knowledge, values, and skills necessary to participate actively in national development. The program ensures that every young person is empowered to play a meaningful role in building Rwanda and reinforcing national unity.
