RICTA to Empower Youth and Small Entrepreneurs Through .RW Domain Reselling Program

RICTA has announced a new initiative to empower Rwandan youth and small entrepreneurs through a .RW domain Reseller Program. During a Twitter Space discussion, CEO Grace Ingabire highlighted plans to train and support young people to sell .RW domain names and related services, helping them create jobs and promote Rwanda’s digital identity.


As Rwanda continues to embrace a digital-first economy, the Rwanda Internet Community and Technology Alliance (RICTA) has announced a new initiative aimed at empowering young people and small entrepreneurs to participate in the reselling of .RW domain names and related digital services.

The announcement was made by Grace Ingabire, the Chief Executive Officer of RICTA, during a Twitter Space (X Space) discussion held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, under the theme:

“How to Grow Your Business Online using .RW.”

The session was moderated by journalist Oswald Oswakim and featured industry experts including Fridolin Niyonsaba, Director of Engineering at KITECH, and Desire Iradukunda, CEO and Founder of Codible Group.

Supporting Youth Participation in Rwanda’s Digital Economy

During the conversation, Ms. Ingabire highlighted RICTA’s commitment to creating opportunities for young innovators to engage in the digital marketplace by reselling RICTA’s services such as .RW domain registration, hosting, and related solutions.

“We want to see young people helping others access and use .RW domain names, while earning from it as a legitimate business opportunity. RICTA will support them through training and by connecting them with the right digital ecosystem,” said Grace Ingabire, CEO of RICTA.

She added that the new Reseller Program aims to expand the adoption of .RW as Rwanda’s official internet identity and strengthen the local digital economy.

Promoting a Locally Rooted Digital Identity

Panelists emphasized that expanding access to .RW domains goes beyond business it is about building Rwanda’s online identity and promoting local content.

Fridolin Niyonsaba, from KITECH, noted, “technical skills in managing and selling domain services can open up new job opportunities in Rwanda’s growing tech sector.” Meanwhile, Desire Iradukunda, CEO of Codible Group, added, “Empowering youth to become digital entrepreneurs is essential for Rwanda’s sustainable development.”

Strengthening Rwanda’s Digital Future

The .RW domain, managed by RICTA, represents Rwanda’s national identity on the global internet. The organization has been leading awareness campaigns encouraging individuals, businesses, and institutions to adopt .RW as a symbol of digital pride and authenticity.

In closing, Ms. Ingabire reaffirmed RICTA’s long-term vision of collaborating with youth cooperatives, startups, and private companies to operationalize the reseller initiative and ensure its benefits reach communities across the country.

 “We want .RW to become a tool for national growth where every Rwandan, especially the youth, can benefit from digital opportunities built around our own identity,” said Ms. Ingabire.
