The Rwandan Patriotic Front (FPR-Inkotanyi) and the State of Israel have agreed to explore new areas of cooperation as part of efforts to further strengthen their long-standing partnership.

The commitment was made on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, during a meeting between the Secretary General of FPR-Inkotanyi, Ambassador Christophe Bazivamo, and Israel’s Ambassador to Rwanda, Ambassador Einat Weiss. The meeting took place at the FPR-Inkotanyi headquarters in Kigali.

Discussions focused on issues of mutual interest, with both sides expressing their readiness to expand collaboration beyond existing areas and identify new opportunities that would benefit Rwanda and Israel.

Rwanda and Israel maintain strong diplomatic relations and have for years cooperated in various sectors. Agriculture remains one of the key pillars of this partnership, with Israel sharing advanced technologies and expertise that support Rwanda’s efforts to boost agricultural productivity through training programs and development projects.

Cooperation also extends to security, including capacity building for security institutions and the exchange of experience in counter-terrorism initiatives.

Both FPR-Inkotanyi and Israeli officials underscored the importance of sustaining and deepening the partnership, noting that enhanced cooperation will contribute to Rwanda’s development goals and reinforce bilateral relations.
