Six Injured in Stabbing Incident at New York’s Penn Station
At least six people were injured in a stabbing attack at Penn Station in Manhattan on Sunday evening, causing panic inside one of the busiest transportation hubs in the United States.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. as travelers and commuters moved through the station beneath Madison Square Garden. Witnesses described scenes of confusion and fear as emergency responders rushed to the area and police secured the station.
Authorities said one victim sustained serious injuries while the others suffered moderate to minor wounds. All of the injured were transported to nearby hospitals, and officials later confirmed that all are expected to survive.
Amtrak police officers arrested the suspect shortly after the attack and recovered a knife believed to have been used in the stabbings. The identity of the suspect has not yet been released, and investigators are still working to determine the motive behind the incident.
The attack came as New York City was already under heightened security ahead of major sporting events expected to draw large crowds in Manhattan.
