Rwanda and Morocco have reaffirmed their strong diplomatic partnership following a high-level meeting in Rabat between Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier Nduhungirehe, and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.

During the meeting, Nduhungirehe delivered a special message from Paul Kagame to Mohammed VI, highlighting the growing friendship and cooperation between Rwanda and Morocco.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in sectors including trade, investment, education, agriculture, tourism, and security. Both ministers welcomed the progress already achieved between Kigali and Rabat and expressed their commitment to further enhancing collaboration in areas that benefit both nations.

They also emphasized the importance of African countries working together to address common challenges facing the continent, including economic development, regional security, and sustainable growth. The two sides reaffirmed their determination to continue supporting African interests at both regional and international levels.

Rwanda and Morocco have steadily strengthened their relations over the years through diplomatic engagement and strategic partnerships. Several agreements signed between the two countries have contributed to increased cooperation in economic development, aviation, finance, and infrastructure.

Analysts say the growing partnership reflects a broader effort by African nations to deepen intra-African cooperation and build stronger continental alliances capable of promoting long-term stability and prosperity.

The meeting in Rabat further demonstrated the shared vision of both countries to continue building strong political and economic ties while contributing to peace and development across Africa.
