On Monday, Gen. Mubarakh Muganga, Rwanda’s Chief of Defence Staff, spoke to youth undergoing training in the 15th cohort of the Indangamirwa Institute in Nkumba.


He emphasized that Africa must find solutions to its problems internally, highlighting Rwanda’s role in providing security assistance to countries like the Central African Republic and Mozambique.

Gen. Muganga encouraged the youth to work hard and understand their role as future leaders in advancing Rwanda and the entire African continent. He urged them to increase their knowledge and capacity to take responsibility and find solutions to Africa’s pressing issues, including poverty, conflicts, health challenges, and more.

He stated: "Do not underestimate your role in building a better future. Keep seeking knowledge and growing in thought, because Africa needs leaders with the will and ability to confront its challenges."

This talk was part of the Indangamirwa Institute program, which aims to equip youth with skills and knowledge to take on responsibilities in building peace, security, and sustainable development.
