President Kagame and First Lady Host Senior White House Faith Delegation at Urugwiro Village
President Paul Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame on Thursday evening hosted a distinguished delegation from the White House Faith Office and other faith leaders for dinner at Urugwiro Village, reaffirming the shared commitment between Rwanda and the United States to promote peace, leadership, and moral values in governance.
According to a statement from Urugwiro Village, discussions during the meeting focused on shared values of faith, peace, and leadership. The exchange highlighted the important role of faith-based leadership in advancing peacebuilding, ethical governance, and community transformation both regionally and globally.
The U.S. delegation was led by Paula White, Senior Advisor at the White House Faith Office, and included Jennifer Korn Sporment, Assistant to the President and Faith Director at the same office.
Other members of the delegation were Jonathan Cain, Bradley Knight, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, Rosa Whitaker Duncan-Williams, Joel Duncan-Williams, and Chekinah Olivier.
Throughout the evening, President Kagame and the guests discussed the role of spirituality in leadership and the value of collaboration between governments and faith-based institutions in addressing contemporary global and regional challenges.
The visit underscored the deepening cooperation between Rwanda and U.S. institutions in promoting values-driven leadership, social transformation, and peace initiatives further strengthening the foundation of partnership built on mutual respect and shared vision.
