Rwanda’s Embassy to the UAE assures safety of nationals amid Iran attacks in the Middle East
Rwanda’s Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has assured that Rwandan nationals living in the UAE and the Kingdom of Bahrain are safe and continue to receive the necessary consular support.
nce February 28, 2026, Iran has launched attacks targeting several countries in the Middle East, describing the strikes as retaliation against the United States and Israel. The attacks have heightened tensions across the region.
In a statement issued on March 4, 2026, the Rwandan Embassy confirmed it is closely monitoring the security situation in both the UAE and Bahrain. It emphasized that, so far, all Rwandan citizens residing in or visiting the two countries remain safe.
The Embassy noted that it is in continuous communication with members of the Rwandan community and is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure that nationals receive the assistance and services they may require.
Rwandans living in or traveling to the UAE and Bahrain have been urged to strictly follow security guidelines and instructions issued by local authorities to maintain their safety.
Iran has stated that its strikes have targeted countries including the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Iraq, citing the presence of major U.S. military bases. However, authorities in some of these countries have raised concerns that civilian infrastructure such as hotels and airports has also been affected.
The Rwandan Embassy reiterated its commitment to keeping nationals informed and providing support as the situation continues to evolve.
