MINEDUC Awards Top 11 Students in Primary and Lower Secondary National Exams
The Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) has recognized 11 students who excelled in the national exams concluding primary and lower secondary education.
Among the top performers in primary school exams were Arakaza Leo Victor from Wisdom School in Musanze District, who scored 99.4%, Impano Brave Gloria from Bugesera District, with 98.8%, and Ihirwe Kanimba Honnette from New Vision Primary School in Huye District, also with 98.8%.
They were followed by Duhirwe Gall Gavin Darcy from Ecole International La Racine in Bugesera District with 98.8%, Nsengiyumva Joannah Holiness from Bugesera District with 98.8%, and Ashimwe Keza Gerardine from Bugesera District with 98.8%.
The students credited their success to dedication and determination in their studies.
For primary school graduates, 15,695 students secured places in lower secondary schools, while over 150,000 students entered the first year of lower secondary education in different institutions.
In this year’s awards, six students were recognized instead of five in primary education because five students shared the same top score of 98.8%.
Top performers in the lower secondary exams included Izere Hennock Tresor from E.S Kanombe in Kicukiro District with 98.67%, Uwumuremyi Albert from Hope Haven School in Gasabo District with 98.00%, Ineza Flora Elyse from Hope Haven School in Gasabo District with 97.89%, Ndayishimiye Jean D'Amour from Haven School in Gasabo District with 97.89%, and Agaba Happy Jean Eudes from Petit Séminaire St Aloys in Rusizi District with 97.78%.
The awardees received school supplies, laptops, and full tuition coverage for the next academic year, either in government schools or partner institutions supported by the government.
