During their discussions, emphasis was placed on the role of the Francophonie in promoting the French language, supporting education and development initiatives, as well as encouraging dialogue and collaboration between nations sharing the French language and values.

Madam Louise Mushikiwabo commended Senegal’s continued engagement within the Francophonie and highlighted the importance of unity and cooperation among member countries in addressing global and regional challenges.

President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, on his part, reaffirmed Senegal’s commitment to actively contribute to the objectives of the OIF and to strengthen partnerships that foster development, peace, and cultural exchange.

The meeting concluded with both parties expressing their willingness to deepen collaboration between Senegal and the Francophonie organization in the coming years.
