The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Yusuf Murangwa, who is currently on an official visit to the United States, held a high-level meeting with American investors whose companies have already invested in Rwanda.

During the meeting, Minister Murangwa provided a comprehensive overview of Rwanda’s economic performance over recent years. He highlighted the country’s strong and consistent growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), emphasizing how Rwanda has maintained resilience despite global economic challenges. He also discussed key reforms undertaken by the government, particularly in the taxation system, which have been designed to improve efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business.

The Minister further reassured investors of Rwanda’s commitment to maintaining a stable and predictable investment climate. He pointed out that ongoing policy reforms and institutional improvements are aimed at attracting more foreign direct investment while supporting existing investors to expand their operations within the country.

Such engagements reflect Rwanda’s broader strategy to promote transparency, strengthen dialogue with international investors, and build long-term partnerships. By maintaining open communication channels and fostering trust, the government aims to position Rwanda as a competitive and reliable investment destination in Africa.

The meeting also served as an opportunity for investors to share their experiences, challenges, and expectations, enabling both sides to explore ways to deepen cooperation and unlock new investment opportunities.
