The Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) has marked another milestone in strengthening discipline and professionalism within its ranks, as a new group of Military Police personnel officially graduated at Kanombe Military Barracks.

The ceremony, held on April 29, 2026, was presided over by the RDF Chief of Defence Staff, Mubarakh Muganga, who congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their training and joining a key unit tasked with upholding order and discipline across the force.

Addressing the newly trained personnel, General Mubarakh underscored the importance of continuous training in maintaining high professional standards within the RDF. He urged members of the Military Police Brigade to remain exemplary in their conduct and to serve as custodians of the force’s core values in all their duties.

The event also featured the inauguration of newly constructed sports and training facilities at the barracks. These include modern basketball, volleyball, and netball courts, as well as a fully equipped gymnasium designed to enhance physical fitness and support the overall development of personnel.

Officials highlighted that the new infrastructure will play a key role in improving both the physical readiness and morale of RDF members, contributing to a more effective and resilient force.

The graduation and facility launch reflect Rwanda’s broader efforts to invest in its defence forces, ensuring they remain well-trained, disciplined, and prepared to carry out their mandate both nationally and in international peacekeeping missions.
