On Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) presidential candidate Samia Suluhu Hassan became the first contender to submit her nomination forms to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

President Hassan arrived at the Commission’s headquarters at 7:50 a.m., alighting from a green vehicle dressed in the party's signature green attire. She was received by the Director of Elections, Ramadhan Kailima. The atmosphere was calm, with fewer celebrations compared to her earlier appearance when collecting the forms.

After leaving the INEC offices, President Hassan spent a few minutes speaking with CCM Secretary General Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro, her running mate Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, CCM Vice Chairman (Mainland) Stephen Wasira, and Dodoma regional party leaders led by Chairman Alhaj Adam Kimbisa.

According to the schedule released by INEC earlier today, all 18 political parties whose candidates collected nomination forms are expected to return them for verification.

This marks the second time President Hassan has led the way for other candidates, having also been the first to collect nomination forms.
