FPR Inkotanyi Welcomes Chinese Experts to Strengthen Cultural and Historical Cooperation
At the headquarters of FPR Inkotanyi in Rusororo, Secretary General Amb. Wellars Gasamagera welcomed Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, Gao Wenqi, along with a delegation of experts from China’s Heritage Palace and the Chinese School of Culture and Tourism.
The visit comes as part of the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between FPR Inkotanyi and China’s ruling Communist Party (CPC), aimed at preserving the country’s liberation history and promoting effective management of heritage sites.
During the reception, Amb. Gasamagera praised the strong and long-standing relations between the two parties, emphasizing that the MoU marks an important step in sharing knowledge and strengthening cooperation in historical and cultural preservation.
On June 20, 2025, FPR Inkotanyi and CPC signed a new agreement to reinforce their two-decade-long collaboration, including plans to establish a Political School in Rwanda and to share expertise in managing heritage and historical institutions.
Amb. Musoni Protais, Chief Advisor to the FPR Inkotanyi Secretary General, noted that this partnership will provide a strong foundation to expand collaboration in areas such as education, tourism, healthcare, investment, and infrastructure.
The FPR Inkotanyi–CPC relationship remains resilient, with prior agreements such as the knowledge-sharing pact on governance signed in July 2023 highlighting a unique partnership grounded in shared history and national development goals.
