Rwandan sports Minister visits Bayern Munich academy, meets young Rwandan talents in Germany
Nelly Mukazayire and Igor Cesar visited the FC Bayern Munich youth academy in Germany, where they met young Rwandan football talents including David Okoce and Barthazar Ndayishimiye, who are currently undergoing advanced football training at the academy.
The two Rwandan youngsters are among promising players being developed and assessed as part of the selection process for Bayern Munich’s youth teams. Their participation in one of Europe’s most respected football development systems highlights the growing presence of Rwandan talent on the international stage.
During the visit, Minister Mukazayire encouraged the young players to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to achieving their professional football dreams while proudly representing Rwanda abroad. Ambassador Igor Cesar also praised the progress of the players and reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to supporting youth talent development through sports.As part of her stay in Germany, Minister Mukazayire also attended the UEFA Champions League semi-final match at Allianz Arena between Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and FC Bayern Munich, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
