Over 200 Financial Institutions to Gather in China for "Meet Rwanda in China"
From August 1–2, 2025, the city of Wuhan in China will host the "Meet Rwanda in China" event, which is expected to bring together over 200 institutions operating across various sectors in China.
The main objective of this event is to promote investment opportunities in Rwanda, support the "Made in Rwanda" initiative, boost tourism and cultural exchange, and encourage Rwandans living in China to actively contribute to their country’s development.
The event is organized by the Embassy of Rwanda in China, in collaboration with the Rwandan community living there. It will feature high-level business dialogues in partnership with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
These discussions will bring together seasoned members of the Rwandan diaspora in China, entrepreneurs, executives of major companies, researchers, tourism experts, cultural institutions, business associations, media professionals, and friends of Rwanda.
China remains Rwanda’s top source of foreign direct investment and is also among the leading destinations for Rwandan exports. This event is expected to further strengthen the existing ties between the two nations.
"Meet Rwanda in China" is envisioned as an annual platform to connect Rwandans abroad with opportunities to contribute to Rwanda’s growth and transformation.
