Prime Minister Nsengiyumva meets GX Foundation to boost healthcare collaboration
Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva received a delegation from GX Foundation, led by Mr. Leung Chun-Ying, Chairman of the Hong Kong–based charitable organization. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration to strengthen Rwanda’s health sector.
Founded in 2018, GX Foundation is a non-governmental organization dedicated to delivering medical and public health assistance in underserved regions.
Its programs focus on preventing avoidable conditions such as cataract blindness, controlling vector-borne diseases, improving environmental health, and enhancing emergency health risk management.
Operating across Asia, Africa, Central America, and the South Pacific, GX Foundation works in partnership with local governments and health institutions to deliver programs that address critical healthcare needs while building sustainable local capacity. The organization also continuously strives to expand its efforts to other countries in need of humanitarian support.
The Foundation emphasizes training programs, cross-border partnerships, community knowledge transfer, and collaboration with governments and health institutions to strengthen local and global health systems.
Currently, GX Foundation has active programs in countries including Senegal, Mauritania, Djibouti, Cambodia, Laos, Honduras, Fiji, and Vanuatu.
The Prime Minister Nsengiyumva reflects Rwanda’s commitment to strengthening its health systems through strategic international partnerships and leveraging expertise from leading global health organizations.
