Element Eleéh and Bruce Melodie's relationship is in turmoil
This story is based on an analysis of 12 reasons why Element Eleéh has been acting in ways that show that he has stopped wanting to be treated as he was in January 2023 when he entered the 1:55 A.M Ltd.
Rwandans have a saying that you can't hide the smoke from a burning house! That has indeed been the case for a few days with Element Eleéeh and the house that signed him to a contract to produce works and add to his singing talent like a dream he had dreamed of.
In January 2023, Element Eleéeh joined 1:55 AM Ltd owned by investor Coach Gael. At that time, he was joined by Bruce Melodie who introduced him to Rwandans through a song called Henzapu on March 24, 2020, while the world was in a state of lockdown.
Since then, the name Element Eleéeh has taken a place in the ears of Rwandan music lovers. Before being given the opportunity by Bruce Melodie, he had made many song 'samples' that he sent to artists who were popular at the time and they were impressed.
As soon as he joined 1:55 AM Ltd, he was on good terms with Bruce Melodie, they looked at each other like best friends from the movie "Cira aha nikubite!"
Bruce Melodie's relationship with Element Eleéeh was marred by jealousy and selfishness
During the production of Bruce Melodie and Shaggy's song, When She's Around (Funga Macho remix), jealousy arose and indeed, as humans, we sometimes get overcome by jealousy if we don't know how to control it.
Bruce Melodie, an artist who is known for giving opportunities to new producers who are also emerging in the field, took Prince Kiiz's hand and paved the way for him. It was a very sad incident for Element Eleéeh.
What was the reason for this?
You know, when you take a new producer and put him in a place where many people cry, one who was on the breast is inevitably left to cry. The expressions in the entertainment world are “I taught you that title”.
Prince Kiiz, who was called a title, God blessed him with Funga Macho, Shaggy loved it and asked Bruce Melodie to do it again.
Bruce Melodie first sent Shaggy other songs, and the other one was a fan and asked him to do it again Funga Macho.
You know how Bruce Melodie and Shaggy’s song became a big hit in the world and opened doors for him that would have taken a century for a Kigali artist to open for him.
Let's take a look at 12 reasons why Element Eleéeh is not getting along well with 1:55 AM Ltd.
1. Bruce Melodie told the media that Element Eleéeh had stopped him from working
On January 18, 2024, Bruce Melodie spoke openly about his relationship with Element Eleéeh, removing the veil, explaining that he stopped him from working and that is why he is looking for other talented people to produce songs and give him a chance.
At that time, Bruce Melodie and Coach Gael had bought shares in UGB, and they showed them to the media at the BK Arena. I was there as a witness to this.
2. When Bruce Melodie was traveling with Prince Kiiz to Kenya to promote When She’s Around, Element Eleéeh gathered his followers and headed to Karongi on Lake Kivu. This was like rebelling against his boss since he left without informing the management.
3. Prince Kiiz and Element Eleéeh once clashed and exchanged words, one of whom had won an award at the Isango na Muzika Awards (Best Audio Producer Award 2023) and was still with Country Records.
4. The song Sikosa Element Eleéeh was recorded at The Ben's house, but he has a studio where he is registered. He also recorded it without asking permission from his management, which caused a stir until Coach Gael ordered him not to go out.
They managed to find that between Kevin Kade and The Ben, there was no other way except for The Ben to meet Coach Gael and talk.
The talks took place in the early hours of the morning at around 9:00 am at Kigali Universe, so the men reconciled, and the song was released.
During the filming of the film, Element Eleéeh had lied to his management that he was filming in Kenya and sent it to his management, so he immediately went to Tanzania to film it. Here he had begun to influence his management!
5. The song FOU DE Toi, which costs over 18 million Frw, has the same label as MiLELE, which costs over 15 million Frw. It was a surprise to see his latest song TOMBÉ, which was recently released and was credited as being produced by Eleéesphere, while the two songs I mentioned above were credited as being produced by 1:55 AM.
6. Bruce Melodie's album Colorful Generation, they wanted to include many of Prince Kiiz's songs because they were the ones that were most pleasing to the ears and would last for days however, Bruce Melodie insisted on including songs by Element Eleéeh, while many who had a say in the album felt that this was not the case. For example, the song Rosa, which was a hit at the opening ceremony, was composed by Prince Kiiz and Bruce Melodie was paid one million Rwandan francs by one of his advisors to allow it to be on the album. This shows the fervor Bruce Melodie had for Element Eleéeh on Colorfull Generation.
7. Element Eleéeh when he was in Tanzania at the Trace Awards called The Ben and they were seen together while Bruce Melodie was with him at 1:55 AM and he never touched her. Element Eleéeh often supports The Ben's songs more than he does Bruce Melodie.
8. Coach Gael has often sat down with Element Eleéeh and Bruce Melodie to resolve their differences, but they have not been able to resolve the situation.
9. Element Eleéeh feels so famous that he needs Bruce Melodie to beg him
This is because Element Eleéeh has already made a name for himself in music that when he goes to concerts in Kampala, Uganda, he charges $5,000 (over 7 million Rwf) and is paid for everything including airfare, accommodation and other expenses that a celebrity uses.
Domestically, he charges millions to produce songs, making him the most expensive in Rwanda, and even going to a concert charges five million Rwf.
His four songs are so popular that he considers himself famous and feels that respecting his older brother is no longer necessary.
10. Element Eleéeh has already broken up with his employers.
On April 12, 2025, members of 1:55 AM and UGB visited the Genocide Memorial in Nyanza District, Southern Province. The leadership of 1:55 AM extended an invitation to all members.
The invitation was to meet at Kigali Universe at 9:00 am.
Element Eleéeh accepted the invitation and agreed to be there.
At exactly 9:00 pm, they arrived except for Element Eleéeh.
They waited until 5:00 p.m. and decided to start the car and head to Nyanza. Everyone left in their car except for the UGB members who left in one car.
Many of you who saw the photos wondered why Element Eleéeh did not attend.
This, in addition to the fact that he was sent messages on WhatsApp by his managers and he replied to them after a few days, shows that communication is gradually breaking down.
11. Element Eleéeh rented Ross Kana's studio to record a Diez Dola song.
On the night of April 14, 2025, Diez Dola and Element Eleéeh released videos from the studio at Ross Kana's house, on the hill at Irebero in the Kicukiro district.
This is the reason why he no longer wants to have any contact with the members at 1:55 AM even though it is not yet time for him to completely leave because he will be gone for a few months and his contract will end.
12. On April 6, 2025, Bruce Melodie, along with Kivumbi King and 1:55 AM, were seen with Diamond Platnumz at the S2Kizzy (Zombie) studio working on a song that will be released this year.
A producer named City Boy from Ghana is the one Bruce Melodie used during the event, and he used Element Eleéh. City Boy is paid $5,000 while if he used Element Eleéh, he would have paid $1,000.
There is no plan to extend the three-year contract he signed in January 2023, which expires in 2025. It is a contract that includes 40 percent of the work and 60% going to 1:55 AM.
If the contract ends, 1:55 AM will not owe him anything, since he will not owe him anything.
