The recent visit of American streaming sensation IShowSpeed to Nairobi continues to generate conversation weeks after his departure. Now, Kenyan forex trader Samuel Ondiek, popularly known as Sammyboy, has added a commercial angle to the moment by placing a signed jersey from the tour up for public auction.

The item on sale is an XL Off-White basketball-style jersey signed during IShowSpeed’s stop at the Mukuru Kwa Njenga affordable housing project, one of the standout highlights of his Kenyan visit. Sammyboy met the YouTuber   born Darren Watkins Jr.   during the high-energy tour last month and says he has carefully preserved the memorabilia ever since.

In a recent video shared on his social media platforms, the trader confirmed that the jersey is now officially up for grabs. He described it as part of his personal “home museum,” adding that it remains in pristine condition. According to him, the shirt has not been washed to ensure the signature ink remains intact and clearly visible.

“I have this IShowSpeed signature jersey… it’s up for grabs. If you feel like you can put a bid on this T-shirt, comment with your bid,” he told followers.

Unlike many fans who might keep such an item for sentimental reasons, Sammyboy maintains that his decision is business-driven. A known figure in Kenya’s forex trading circles, he says he intends to channel the proceeds directly into funding his trading account.

“Need money to fund my trading account. Highest bid wins… let’s gooo,” he wrote in a social media post.

The announcement has drawn mixed reactions online. Some followers see the jersey as a rare collector’s investment tied to one of the world’s most-watched streamers, while others question the move to part with a unique souvenir so soon after the visit. Sammyboy has also pointed out that even buyers who do not wear an XL size can frame and display the shirt as memorabilia.
