In his end-of-year message, President Kagame noted that the security organs demonstrated commitment, resilience, and unwavering dedication that brought pride to the nation, and reaffirmed that the RDF and other security organs of today are exactly the forces he envisioned.

He said: “We recognize your sacrifice and that of your families. Your determination, resilience, and steadfast dedication bring honor to all Rwandans.”

To families mourning the loss of loved ones in service, the President expressed gratitude for their sacrifice and assured them of the nation’s continual support.

President Kagame also highlighted that the RDF’s commitment extends beyond national borders. “At home, your vigilance protects our citizens, safeguards our territorial integrity, and preserves the dignity of every Rwandan daily. Abroad, in peacekeeping operations, you honor our sacred pledge to protect human life with all your skills, resources, and determination,” he stated.

Thanks to their dedication, Rwanda continues to enjoy peace and security, achieving significant progress across various sectors, enabling citizens to carry out socio-economic activities in a stable environment.

“Throughout the year, you have remained a pillar of national unity, dignity, and strength, capable of protecting the country’s interests while upholding the highest standards of integrity and patriotism,” he added.

As the nation enters the new year, President Kagame encouraged security personnel to maintain momentum, uphold the principles of integrity and accountability, and remain vigilant against evolving threats, working towards a secure, prosperous, and united Rwanda.

He concluded by extending his warmest wishes to all security personnel and their families for a joyful festive season and a successful year ahead, while recognizing their invaluable service to the nation.
