Rwanda and Armenia have signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation in advanced technology and innovation.


The announcement followed a meeting on September 30 between a Rwandan delegation led by State Secretary in the Ministry of ICT and Innovation, Yves Iradukunda, and Armenia’s Minister of Technology, Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

Both sides expressed their commitment to continue discussions, share expertise, promote joint projects, and strengthen technology infrastructure in their countries. The partnership will focus on cybersecurity, technology education, innovation, and technology-driven economic development.

The agreement also aims to support collaboration at the international level, including partnerships between genocide memorials and museums to prevent and combat genocide. Armenia praised Rwanda’s progress in advancing modern technology, while Rwanda looks forward to benefiting from Armenia’s technological development and knowledge.

This cooperation signals a shared commitment to innovation, joint research projects, and the promotion of trade and tourism between the two countries.
