In a message shared on X, President Kagame highlighted Rwanda’s appreciation for the strong and growing partnership with Qatar, emphasizing that his personal friendship with the Emir continues to play a significant role in deepening bilateral relations.

“I thank my brother and friend, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his visit to Rwanda and for the insightful discussions we held. Rwanda values the solid partnership we share with Qatar, and our close friendship continues to guide our cooperation,” President Kagame said.

He added that Rwanda looks forward to building on the progress achieved during the visit and to further advancing key areas of mutual interest for the benefit of both nations’ citizens.

The Emir’s visit follows ongoing major joint initiatives between Rwanda and Qatar, including investments in aviation, tourism, technology, and security cooperation.
