Kenyan preacher Victor Kanyari has dismissed rumors linking him romantically to viral personality Marion Naipei, insisting their relationship is based solely on ministry and charity work. In a video shared online, Kanyari denied having romantic intentions and accused sections of the media of using his name for attention. Speculation had intensified following his public support for Naipei after she became the subject of controversy over leaked private videos.

Controversial Nairobi-based preacher Victor Kanyari has strongly denied claims linking him romantically to viral social media personality Marion Naipei.

In a video shared on his Facebook page, the founder of Salvation Healing Ministry addressed his congregation directly, dismissing the allegations and insisting that his relationship with Naipei is strictly based on ministry and charitable support.

Speaking in Swahili, Kanyari laughed off the rumors and made a candid personal statement, claiming he no longer experiences romantic urges.

“People are asking whether Kanyari is sleeping with Naipei. No. That strength ended long ago. I don’t even remember the last time I had such feelings,” he told his followers.

The preacher emphasized that his focus is now on financial stability and helping vulnerable members of society. According to him, his primary concern is raising funds to support elderly women and individuals struggling with medical bills, including payments required under the Social Health Authority (SHA).

Kanyari challenged critics to examine his history, questioning whether he has ever been involved in a scandal concerning women.

“When have you ever heard that Kanyari has had a scandal involving women? Never,” he said.

He also addressed a past controversy involving an incident during a church service that drew public criticism. Kanyari maintained that the situation was misunderstood, explaining that he was demonstrating the severity of a congregant’s illness during a healing session. He claimed the woman was later healed.

Speculation surrounding Kanyari and Naipei intensified following a series of public gestures during church services that appeared to show a close connection between the two.

Naipei recently became the subject of national conversation after reports emerged that intimate videos allegedly involving her were leaked without her consent by a former partner  an incident that reignited debate over privacy violations and digital abuse.

Kanyari publicly offered support to Naipei after government official Geoffrey Mosiria distanced himself from the matter. His visible backing during church services further fueled online speculation about the nature of their relationship.

In his remarks, Kanyari accused sections of the media of using his name to attract attention and generate traffic. He noted that even years after his divorce from gospel singer Betty Bayo, some outlets still refer to her as “Kanyari’s ex-wife” in headlines.

In the caption accompanying his video, he urged critics to stop spreading rumors about him and Naipei, maintaining that his public gestures were acts of compassion and restorative support toward someone he believes is going through a difficult and traumatic period.
